La Challoupe
We had stayed at the hotel about 2 years ago and found it quirky but comfortable and enjoyable with an excellent meal in the restaurant. However when we arrived this time we found the hotel deserted with a note on the door with a telephone number to phone. When we entered the hotel the smell was overwhelming and there was damp everywhere. One of the rooms that had been allocated to us was full of mould and was uninhabitable. The restaurant was closed and although a member of staff visited she made no effort to even speak to us. When we said we needed to check-out at 0615 the next day as we had to catch a ferry the owner said he could not visit to take our money. A most bizarre experience.

Beautiful Place, Dogs Stay for Free
Lovely hotel and beautiful, safe, location. Dogs stay for free which is great. A little off the beaten path but all the better for it. Friendly English speaking owners. Hope to stay again!

Nice hotel, good restaurant, pet friendly with a large grassed area directly in front of the hotel leading to the beach. English speaking when you stumble with your French!

Great Location & Friendly Owner
Great hotel in a fantastic location with a very friendly English speaking owner. Excellent restaurant with local food. Rooms have been nicely updated but the bed was a bit 'saggy'!
