"It's truly a boutique hotel, personally owned by one man since 2005. It took him 2 years to renovate a neglected 19th century stable and create a luxurious retreat. The hotel only has 8 rooms (making it the smallest 5-star hotel in France), and it's open during Biarritz' high season, only 4 months. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are tastefully decorated in a blend of modern and period furnishings. "The property and rooms were absolutely beautiful. Only problem we had was carrying our luggage up a couple of long flights of stairs. (no elevator in this older building) I noticed that help was offered to several other people checking in, and was curious about that."

"Staff was excellent in explaining the location and sites to see. The location is excellent and very quiet. I enjoyed the homemade breakfast items as described previously in prior reviews. The hotel is easy to access and they arranged a taxi to return to the airport to be driven to St Jean de pied pont. You will enjoy a night exploring in Biarritz before the Camino Frances. The French Rivera is beautiful"

"まず、間違えて似た名前のメルキュールホテルへチェックインに行ってしまったが、そこのフロント係は親切にこちらのホテルを教えてくれた。 部屋は十分な広さで、またバスルームもキレイでかわいらしい内装でした。冷房設備も完璧、ドライヤー、アイロンも部屋に備わっていた。 ただ冷蔵庫がなく、連日40℃近い中、近くのスーパーでドリンクを買ったのに冷やしておくことができず残念だった。 フロント係は皆親切にしてくれた。すれ違う宿泊客もみな感じ良く、治安の良さを感じた。"
