"The property around the Oban is beautiful. When we were there, they were working on upgrades to the outdoor swimming pool. It looked like it was going to be a wonderful outdoor space when it was finished. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. Our room was lovely and spacious. "My stay was good, it was close to the event that I was attending in the Casino. Its eas a quick 10 minute walk. There are restaurants very close as well. The rooms were clean and the staff were nice. I would stay here again. The room i stayed in was a corner room so there wasnt a front window which made it dark in there. Overall its a great little Lodge."

"Breakfast was decent and free parking is nice. The lobby is great, and pool amenities. Staff are very nice. However, this hotel is outdated. The rooms, hallways smells. The washrooms and elevators are small and need to be maintained. Location is perfect but overall I think it’s over priced for the comfort and cleanliness it offers."

"A charming Inn to stay and enjoy all that passes by in Lock 7. Hskp staff very attentive and don’t miss a thing. Room 25 on 3rd floor is not perfect for photography as the neighbouring tree blocks a full shot of the ship in the lock. Balconies are a real plus and very clean! The chairs at the table are getting tired and should be replaced. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Make sure you visit the quaint town of Thorold. Lots of cafes and shops to enjoy within walking distance!"
