The complex is a bit more up the mountain and not that "next" to the water/center what was perfect for us! (more silence). And even then everything in near you, supermarket at walking distance, or just a 5-10 min drive to the river. Plenty of restaurants, hikes, activities to do. Rooms where nice and spacious, kitchen was equipped with all you needed. And it was clean. There is a parking garage below...

"Oporto Street Fonte Taurina is just one street above Cais de Ribera. That is where all the action is and right on the river. Full of restaurants and shopping, and beautiful views of Vila Nova de Gala. Vila Nova de Gala is also where the Port Wines come from and it is an easy walk across the bridge.
