"We stayed at the hotel for three days to visit the attractions in the surrounding area. Our room that overlooked the harbour, was comfortable and clean. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast offered a variety of foods from cereal and continental choices to full English cooked breakfast. We would certainly stay again if we were in the area."

"This hotel is superbly placed for the Historic dockyard as well as the Gun Wharf quays, both of which are just a few minutes walk, as is the Portsmouth Harbour rail station. "We loved that we were welcomed from first entering the hotel. Maria and Bethany, the receptionists not only offered ice creams and pastries, but gave us lots of tips on making savings at local restaurants and shops by showing our room keys. The disabled parking was full so we parked in Gunwharf Quays and the hotel picked up the tab, great. The room was a good size with the usual teas and coffee but there was also another coffee machine at reception with hot chocolate, cappuccino, latte etc...

"The room was in a small house called the cottage which was nice with all the facilities we needed. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that we were near the front door, so could hear people coming in out during the evening. It's worth getting there earlier in the day if possibe as it is on street parking with a permit provided at check-in, and there we no spaces left closer than the other end of the street."
