"Room was clean but dated. However I was bitten by bedbugs on the first night. Management had the room checked over and reckon that bed bugs were not detected. Checking a room in a couple of hours for bugs that had already had a good feed would not reveal anything. As a health care professional I was far from impressed. The bites were confirmed by my GP when I returned home. Erin in reception was amazing and supportive. Duty manager took some persuading to move me to a different room.

"The hotel was nice and modern in a convenient location. There is a pub n grill downstairs as well as a starbucks which i thought was very convenient for a good meal n some coffee. There’s also a gym with swimming n jacuzzi which however you have to pay to use despite being a paying hotel guest. My only complaint was that our room was not cleaned even when we put a sign outside our door asking for it to be tidied up. "Very poor check in, took 30 minutes. Not enough people on reception. Wrong wrong key allocated!
Great breakfast.
Room very dated, poor quality pillows. Stained carpet.

"We went for a weekend with our cavapoo. TBH had little treat box, dog towel and little sleeping mat. We brought many of our own things but nice to make him feel welcomed. We had a great stay. The staff were incredibly helpful..walking routes, getting us a table for dinner. We had lovely drinks every evening at the bar with a very large fire and our dog with us.
