Wonderful location to vacation at! The area is beautiful, everyone was so polite. There is so many places to shop and eat and the beaches are beautiful. But, get ready to do a lot of walking and climbing a lot of stairs. Anticipate a lot of cardio!

Great area to stay in but you HAVE to be able to do stairs, and not easy stairs, like cobblestone with no railings up a mountain kind of stairs lol. Would not recommend if you have trouble walking at all. But GORGEOUS views and amazing food.

Off season in Positano has a very different feel, quiet and serene and much less commercial. We enjoyed what few places were open in January and did some very enjoyable hiking.

Positano is quite beautiful. However, it is very busy and there were crowds much of the time. The abundance of cafes, restaurants and access to beach made it well worth the visit.

We came in by ferry from Salerno, very enjoyable, and from the dock the hotel arranged for a service to meet us and take our bags. We then took the ferry the next day to visit Amalfi, and the next day we boarded the ferry again to get to Salerno

"We have been to Positano a few times and every time we have stayed at Buca Di Bacco. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are lovely. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Everything is clean. The hotel staff is always welcoming and kind, ready to help with anything. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay is a highlight. And the Buca Di Bacco restaurant has delicious food - we are in love with the pasta with lemon sauce! All the waiters were fun and hospitable. The close proximity to the beach is another highlight. We loved that we didn’t have to climb the steep streets to get back to our hotel after our days out on the beach, and on boat excursions.
