Flooded lane near Powburn This minor road crosses the Fawdon Burn on this bridge, and also crosses from Alnwick District to Berwick-upon-Tweed District. The flooding seems to be due to run off from the fields meeting a low point on the lane, rather than the burn being high.

Between Powburn and Branton The lane between the two villages stays to the lower ground to the right, whilst a footpath climbs an intervening low outcrop. This is cattle territory.
