"I loved that old cottage and am glad it is in good use. It's nicely furnished and the village where it is situated is delightful. Two negatives were the dog smell in the lounge and poor state of plants in pots. While the dog smell is probably unavoidable as dogs are allowed, the dead plants brought about a depressing impression. "If you get it for the right price, it can be great value for money. I do believe it’s going to be converted to apartments so, the bar is not well stocked and nothings been refurbished for a long time! Breakfast was decent and we found the room comfortable. It’s also in a great location."

"The kitchenette rooms are lovely and spacious with good facilities. Beds are huge and super comfy, TV was massive! Room was clean and quiet. If you want newer and more uniform, pay a lot more at the Premier inn with its scaffolding still!! I like Exmouth's old hotels they have character and offer GVFM . We didn’t have breakfast but did have food in the bar the evening before which was excellent. Book parking ahead of your stay as it’s limited. Out the front there are public spaces, but v limited."

"Well located for shops and both Exeter Main and St. Davids railway stations. My room was compact but well thought out and well equipped. It was great to have a light next to the bed which you could turn off/on easily and the shower was good. Breakfast was first class, beautifully served and coffee one of the best. I would have liked more savoury options for the breakfast but that is just a small preference. Host was really helpful and very welcoming. I would stay here again."
