Weekend in Prague

Our weekend in Prague was made that much more enjoyable because of our stay at Smetana Hotel. Excellent location, with a view on Prague Castle. Large room, tastefully decorated. The Service is ok. They are very friendly and helpful, but lack polish. I would happily stay here again.

Magnificent room with a view of the Old Town

Our room was like stepping back in time and the decor was charming and comfortable. The view stole the show as it was magical to be able to look at the Praha Castle from sunrise to late in the evening from the large windows. This is one of our best experiences in Europe.

Style and graciousness

I was utterly charmed by the Smetana Hotel in Prague. It is situated in the heart of the old city, by the river and in walking distance of beautiful places to see. The room was wonderfully spacious and comfortable, but most importantly - the staff were superb! I was so struck by their warmth, intelligence and the genuineness of their concern to help with the littlest thing I required - especially once we had translated 'safety pins' into Czech!

Bon week-end passé à Prague. Hotel bien situé à deux pas du pont Charles. Du château au centre ville tout peut se faire à pied... Que du bonheur !! Notre chambre n'était pas complètement propre (poubelle avec encore des déchets, cheveux dans la salle de bain...)

Nice Hotel close to Charles Bridge.

Great hotel. Very cooperative staff. Especially the front desk Mr. Daniel was an excellent person and of great help. Close to Charles bridge - walkable distance. Across the road a great panoramic view of the castle.

素晴らしいホテル

予約時・・・ホテルに直にメールし予約の確認と送迎のお願い、そして到着日が誕生日の同行者への花束（有料）をお願いしたところ、丁寧な返事がきました。 チェックイン時・・・レセプションにて丁寧な説明があり、部屋に入ってからもまた説明をして下さいました。スタッフはとても感じがよかったです。 部屋・・・Castle View Suiteの４Ｆ。窓からのプラハ城の眺めは素晴らしい。この眺めがあるホテルは他にはFour Seasons ぐらいではないでしょうか。 部屋も大変広く、トイレとバスルームは別で大変使い勝手が良いです。 湯量も問題なし。 現地の日本のガイドさんもこの部屋を見て、他と比べてとても広いと言っていました。 この値段でこの眺めと広さはお値打ちだと思います。 ただ、４Ｆじゃない場合は前に大きな木があるのでお城が見えるのかどうかはわかりません（先のレビューで見えないと書いていた方がいらっしゃいました） テレビは２つありましたが、１つは砂の嵐でしたが、テレビは見なかったので困りませんでした。 立地・・・カレル橋のすぐそばで、迷っても大丈夫です。あちこち行くのに最高に便利です。 斜め向かいのビルの１Ｆにセクシー系のお店があり夜中もかなり盛り上がっていますが、窓が二重窓なので閉めれば全く気になりませんでした。むしろ上から見てるのが面白かったです。 朝食・・・コーヒー、ジュース、数種のパンとバターとジャム。パンは美味しく十分な量があります。カフェ内で、もしくは中庭でも出してくれます。 お部屋のクリーニング・・・毎日きれいにして下さり、どうも夕方にも一度見に来て下さるようで、夕方にもバスタオル一式が届きます。午後暑すぎて一度部屋に帰りシャワーをしていた私たちには有難かったです。 タバコ・・・中庭で吸えます。または部屋外のベランダに灰皿が置いてありました。 マイナス点・・・到着時に部屋にお花（有料で）とワインと果物（お誕生日ということでComplementaryとのこと）を用意して置くようお願いしていたのですが、ありませんでした。 そのことをフロントに言うと次の日にワインにお誕生日カードをつけて置いてくれていました。 マイナスはそれぐらいでしょうか。。。 あと、マイナスではないのですが、Expediaのサイトで予約する際ユーロ表示になっていたので、デビットカードのユーロ口座から落とせると思っていたら、コルナ請求で日本円口座からしか落とせずそこにはあまりお金を入れていなかったので焦りました。。。（クレジットカードで払いました） ＨＰではスメタナホテルはパシュティブパレスと別になっていますが、実際は同じ建物と言ってよいと思います。 お城に向かっている面がスメタナ部分のようです。スメタナ部分は２００年もの、パシュティブの部分は４００年ものだとスタッフが言っていました。しかし古さや暗さは全くありません。 本当に良いホテルを選んだと思います。 お城ビューではなく中庭ビューだともう少し安くこちらもお部屋は広いようですので、こちらでも十分かと思います。 とてもおススメできるホテルです。

Riverside luxury

Excellent location on the fringe of the old city and right on the river. We could easily get to the major sites while being able to avoid the crowds and see less touristed but equally pretty districts. Staff was excellent. We paid a little extra for a river-view room and it was worth it. By US standards, real luxury at a moderate price.

Great location next to Charles Bridge

Not up to American 5 star standards Furnishings sparse, bathrooms outdated, bathtubs difficult to get into as high sides. There was a leak on one of the walls of our bedroom. TV only English Channel did not work was told that this was a known issue but had not been fixed during our 5 night stay.

Nice stay close to Charles Bridge

A 4 night stay in Prague at the Smetana Hotel, which is an old historical building. Good location walking distance to all of the main sites. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are in good condition and in keeping with the theme of being in a historical building. Noise levels were high due to the number of bars in the area, it was lively at night outside of the hotel. Literally, next to several bars, which is odd for an old histrorical hotel. Continental breakfast was included, but the selection was very slim. Croissant, bread and jam with brewed coffee. Everything else would have been a charge. The hotel should widen the options on a continental breakfast. Finally, the main lobbly is under construction, and there is noise during the day. Overall, good stay. Can't beat the location, but be aware of noise levels.

カレル橋近くにあり利便性は非常に良いが場所にあるホテルです。 しかしなぜかフロントもないホテル？ 従業員の方は親切で安心できるホテルです。 部屋からの景色は、ホテル前に大きな木があり最上階でプラハ城が見えますが、下層階ではプラハ城は見えずちょっと残念でした。 部屋は綺麗で申し分ありません。

Sehr schönes zentral gelegenes Hotel

Vom Empfang, Rezeption und Zimmerservice war wirklich alles perfekt, das Frühstück und manche Frühstückspersonal ist etwas Aufbau fähig (wenig Auswahl). Aber im ganzen würde ich wieder gerne dort übernachten 😊
