"Very nice hotel in the heart of the city. Wonderful staff that was very warm and welcoming. We were welcomed with a hand written note in our bedroom. Fully stocked mini-bar and including useful amenities like a phone charger. We used none of it as we loved the bar downstairs too much ♡. Well decorated room with a wonderful king bed, down pillows, crispy sheets, fluffy towels and a bathrobe. "Conveniently located at 41st and Madison, just a block away from Bryant Park, the public library, the 42nd street subway stop and 5th Avenue shopping. The 2nd floor lounge is a quiet spot to reset with complimentary snacks, beverages and fruit. The rooms are typical New York small but cozy with the cute library theme. For those who receive complimentary breakfast at the adjacent Madison & Vine restaurant, the food is fine but the service is inconsistent and slow."

Property was beautiful and the lounge on the second floor was always well stocked with pastries and refreshments that were nice to have after coming back in from the city. Rooftop Spyglass Bar is just OK other than the view of the Empire State bldg which is outstanding. Room I had was small, had limited soundproofing, and had a loud and obtrusive HVAC system. Overall it was acceptable but I would stay elsewhere next time I need to be in midtown."

"The property was excellent. We booked a double queen room, however, upon entering Room 802 we discovered that the two beds touched each other. This made it very difficult to get in and out of the beds for at least two of us. Needless to say, at least two of us could not sleep very well, leaving a very uncomfortable time for all."

"This is a solid hotel with some quirks you should be aware of. The layout is inefficient, with restaraunts/bar, check in, and the general store on the 8th floor with a klunky elevator system.
