The Duty manager was unable to turn it on after five phone call attempts, requiring 20 mins wait each, allthis lasted until past 2AM, and waked-up by this manager calling to see if it was working yet. It was not, it was blowing colder air in to our room. He tried to move us to another room and same issue there, after 30mins...

"TOP FLOOR ROOM WITH NO FIRE ESCAPE INFORMATION ON BACK OF DOOR is, surely, ILLEGAL. There was no information about anything in the room itself. TV signal was breaking up making it unwatchable most of the time, handset had no cover on the battery compartment, dangerous nail was sticking out of cabinet, shower curtain was dirty, glass shelf missing above washbasin, bed drapes had dirty marks, just needed to go through a washing machine. "Small room, and the air conditioning automatically shuts off in the middle of the night. The airport shuttle can’t reserved and comes every 40 minutes. Breakfast doesn’t start until 630am. The hotel lobby areas are well designed. It’s a hotel near an airport, so it’s convenient."

"The room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect location for Gatwick Airport. The staff arranged for a hired car to drive us to the airport. We did not eat in the on-site restaurant, but it looked very nice."
