"It's a perfect place to stay in Merida. It was a quiet oasis yet it was easy to walk to the main blvd. Parking on the street in front of the hotel was convenient and always seemed to be available."

"My wife and I decided to spend Christmas in Merida and had the good luck to choose Dave and Pat’s guest house. The place itself is beautiful, curated with love in all its details. The room was very comfortable, particularly the bed, and the hosts gracious and very nice. The breakfast was excellent, the recommendations very useful, and on a day generally spend with family, we found kindness among new friends. We recommend this place without reservations. "

"We could not get into the property, which was thoroughly locked with no answer to repeated rings on bell and phone. Eventually local friends managed to find another phone number and speak to a lady in charge. She apologised, they had no reservation for us, and do not do much business with Expedia! She could not account for our confirmed reservation but asked me to cancel so that she could initiate investigation and refund. I did not cancel as this would surely expose me to liability for late...

"All rooms except for one have a window towards the street. Noise isolation is very bad and what looks like a quiet side street on Google maps is actually quite busy. There is a traffic light in front of the house and public buses and motorcycles make a lot of noise upon starting the engine. At a weekend it continues until late, during the week it resumed being noise around 6am. Also, the breakfast is free facto not available if you get up early (to escape the noise). The person preparing it has...
