"We stayed in the Emerald Room for the 4th of July (the largest with the peacocks and the king bed) and found the experience to be a beautiful gem inside Fort Bragg. Do plan accordingly because there is no microwave or any way to cook things, and the fridge was a little warm. I'm not knocking off any points for the appliance situation because it made the experience more historical and made the dream real. The tower was the highest point in Fort Bragg and gave an amazing view for the fireworks...

"We stayed for 2 nights at the Sea Bird Lodge. The rooms were fine. The location was great - in town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The primary downside would be that the rooms are a bit run down and the walls are very thin."

"This was our 3rd Best Western on a week long vacation down the coast. It was by far the best out of the three. From the front desk staff to the room and view. When we arrived we were met by Natalie with a friendly smile and greeting. We were early for our reservation so she offered up some great suggestions for lunch and also changed our room to ADA due to my Mom’s mobility issues. "Very cheap to stay a night. Bad beds but they have coffee in the morning so you can recover from the bad night Great if you are exploring the area, close to glass beach"

"Nice room with a phenomenal view. Staff is outstanding and friendly. Be aware though that you WILL be hearing the fog horn 24 hours a day. That being said, the white noise from the room fan covered it up pretty well. My wife is a VERY light sleeper and when we had that going she had no problems. I just didn't think the fog horn always went off even when there is no fog."

"I had the best sleep! The pillows were fabulous! Clean floors. Very Accommodating! You might have to climb stairs! But nobody was on top of us... So ask for a lower room if you can't do stairs"

"If you want to be immersed in nature, this is the place to go! The inn is located next to a small farm where you can feed some chickens and see their llamas. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The one downside was the temperature in the room. Due to the number of windows a lot of heat got trapped in our room making it stuffy. No AC just a standalone fan. We could only open one small window that had bug netting on it. All of the other windows didn’t have netting and I didn’t want to let any...

"Staff is amazing. It is a bit noisy as you are right on 101 but Pedro was able to put me further back and it was not so bad. Pedro is just amazing and so helpful, just a gem. Not much of a breakfast but plenty of options just down the road from the hotel."
