The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Nice to have water bottles in the room fridge and snacks downstairs. Our breakfast (that they made for us to take because we left early in the morning), was wonderful!
What a charming, beautiful, cozy and astounding home steeped in history!! The owners are wonderful people, very gracious, and were very respectful of our privacy based on this being a bed and breakfast. The breakfast meals were fantastic and the service just as good. Our room was large, comfortable and oozing with character. We absolutely loved our stay!!
The Downan House was the perfect Bed & Breakfast. The hostess, Tamara, said they aim to do two things right: a good bed and breakfast. Tamara and her husband scored 10 out of 10 on both. Our recent trip included staying at 11 different locations throughout the northwest, and Downan was the best of all locations. The host/hostess were welcoming, the home was beautiful, the beds so perfect we asked for the brand, and the breakfast was superb.
It was very homey. We had the best sleep. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Perfect spot. Our hosts were very friendly. Definitely recommend and will book again.
We loved staying in a restored historic home. It was interesting to read about its history and the history of the area. Unique antique decor. The hosts were friendly and fun to talk to. The breakfasts were delicious. The bed was so comfortable! Very reasonable rates. Charming and a place we hope to book again.
My family are historic house people so we really enjoyed our stay at Downen House. It was everything you'd expect and more. It is in excellent condition, immaculate, inviting and homey. Our hosts, Scott and Tamara, were friendly, knowledgeable about the home's history and Pueblo as well. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Downen House to others.
Beautiful historical home, warm and friendly owners, quiet and attractive neighborhood, delicious breakfast. Only problem was noisy window unit air conditioner.
Tammy and Scott are ultimate hosts. Their home is clean, welcoming, over-stocked with amenities that one would not find in another hotel (wine, refreshments, beautiful towels, plush bathrobes, fine accoutrements, beautiful breakfast service. They clearly take incredible pride in their B&B. Everything was spotless and tastefully appointed. I just about didnt want to leave, as we were having lovely conversation with hosts that made us feel like we were their houseguests.
Excellent hospitality and such a charming historical home. Great way to slow travel and get away from the rush of your typical hotel stay. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious!
You will not be sorry if you book a room here. Could not be more pleased or impressed. This is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful! Tammy and Scott were great. I will be back!
Beautiful house, friendly hosts, and an overall delight! Our bedroom was roomy. The bed very comfortable. Loved the ensuite! Although we don't have any special food restrictions, they can accommodate any you may have. The food is excellent. We will definitely, come back.
The breakfast was fabulous! The hosts were so accommodating. We were there to visit a family member who was in the hospital. The hospital is 4 blocks away so that was a big bonus! The hosts welcomed us early, allowed an extra person and made our stay comfortable, easy and lovely in spite of the difficult journey we were on. The home is wonderful and a true beauty in its own right. A home away from home to be sure.
Our stay at the Downen House was truly magnificent. The House is gorgeous, beautifully furnished, comfortable, super clean, and the hospitality of the hosts was wonderful and welcoming. The hot, home cooked breakfasts were delicious and more than plentiful. If we travel to Pueblo in the future we will certainly stay at the Downen House again.
Very cute, cozy. Beautiful old house with a lot of history that the owners shared with us. They have put a lot of love and pride into the property. This is a must when in Pueblo.
This B and B is the greatest find! The owners are super helpful, friendly and accommodating! The older home is charming and comfortable. Breakfast fabulous and the locations is wonderful. The charming home is just a few minutes from down town, a block to the hospital, close to a major park- Mineral Palace, and just a super all around find. I highly recommend the Downer House!
A step back into history: amazing restoration of an exquisite Victorian; comfort reigns supreme alongside an experience that transports you to another era; hosts are marvelously gracious and offer far more amenities than one usually e lingers, like free wine beer and water in fridges and luxurious sheets…. Breakfast mouthwatering
We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay with Tammy & Scott on our way from Durango to K.C. They were very hospitable in this beautiful 1880's vintage home. The breakfast Tammy served us was excellent and we enjoyed our breakfast conversation with her and the other guests that were visiting. Pueblo was an enjoyable stop on our month long road trip. The Riverwalk is excellent, one of the best collections of quality sculptures I have ever seen in a park.
