The stay was super nice and relaxing. The rooms were big and clean, and the beach and staff were excellent, neat, and friendly. The spa was okay; the beds in the spa were not very comfortable, but the massage was good. The food at El Faro was good, and the drinks were as well. Stay with my husband and 1 year old.

My husband and I loved our stay. You have everything you need right at your fingertips from the pool, to the ocean, the restaurants, activities, etc. The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make your stay a great one. My husband and I stayed in the Coral section which had its own pool but ended up spending most of our time in the main pool area where there was a lot of energy, snacks, music, etc. There are coffee shops and snack bars to use throughout the day in addition to all the restaurants. Overall, a wonderful time.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved this resort! It felt homey, the grounds were clean, staff were nice and attentive, and the beaches were spacious and clean. We did the coral upgrade for about $150 extra a person for the whole week, which was worth it for the 2 additional pools and restaurants, and also having our room be closer to the beach. The coral buffet alone is worth the upgrade as you get more upscale options (one day they had sushi, oysters, and crab legs). We did spend time at the main pool for the swim up bar, but when we wanted more quiet, we went to the infinity pool which overlooked the beach. The Hibachi restaurant was our favorite for the food. Avoid the Italian restaurant. We felt very safe here, and the property is the nicest we saw when we did our excursions and had to go on a bus to pick up others at their hotels. We will definitely be back to this resort!

Service was incredible, concierge, bartenders and staff were by far the best part of the place. Ileika our concierge was amazing, bartenders outside of El Faro Guillermo and Fernando were incredible. The entire place is huge, everyday I discovered a new place I didn’t know existed. The golf carts are great and they make it easy to call for one to get around. The beach is perfect and well maintained it was never a struggle to get cabanas or chairs. Pools are well maintained and not crowded. Food was good, the buffet really is the best with so many high quality options and the restaurants have great service and are nice. Super kid friendly and perfect for adults, they have a teen club/activities for kids so I never felt disturbed by too many children by the bars etc. Overall 5 stars, we had an incredible stay and I would come back! Massages were some of the best we’ve ever had and the sauna, pools etc at the spa were pristine! Coral side is worth the extra money for how incredible the rooms, service and lack of crowd there is !

The hotel was amazing and the staff was super friendly. This was a birthday trip for my wife and everything was excellent! We enjoyed every second of our stay here. Some reviews were concerning regarding staff continuously offering a presentation for time share. This only happened once when we arrived, we were never approached again. This was my third year at iberostar Punta Cana. The location is beautiful and the resort still offers great value for the money. However, they were a few nitpicks that kept me from rating everything all fives. Firstly, the resort is old enough that it's starting to show a little wear and tear. There were pieces of tile chipped off the floor near our mini bar. The bathrooms lack any ventilation for steam such that after showering water is dripping down the bathroom door and down the mirror. The bathroom door had actually started delaminating at the bottom from the moisture. We took scuba lessons in the main pool, which was cloudy and contain lots of leaves and other debris scurrying around the bottom. Restaurant service, while generally above average, was slow at times. They seemed a bit understaffed. For example, at breakfast they would often be four or five tables waiting to be bussed and reset. The beach is wonderful, with lots of tiki shades and umbrellas. However, there are a lot of vendors wandering the beach and approaching you every few minutes. So many of them that the same individuals will approach you multiple times asking for a sale. Cigars, excursions, knick-knacks, pictures with a parrot, jewelry, leg massages. This parade of Interlopers does little to help you relax. The general service level is excellent. However, I noted that fewer of the staff are fluent in English than in past years. All that said, I would gladly stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful and the majority of the staff were VERY accommodating and pleasant. There are always a few bad apples, but you learn quickly who to avoid. The problem with Coral Level is this: They tout it as "exclusive" and you have your own "exclusive" restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Problem is the food is always cold. And I mean like it's been in the fridge and the heat lamps and the hot plates don't work. The entertainment for the children is sorely lacking. Maybe we've been spoiled by RIU but the "kiddie show" around dinner time was hit or miss. Some days nothing at all. In 7 days, saw the same thing 3 times which would have been OK had it been entertaining. Half an hour of Simon Says one day then a lesson on how to save the reefs. Even the 4 year old was bored. The refrigerator in the room is only a wine cooler. Can't really keep anything cold. There is nothing around telling you about the nightly entertainment or daily activities. When you ask, you're told to use the app. The app isn't all that and really when you're dealing with us older folks, a sign would be helpful. The waitstaff on the beach were beyond awesome. And I do mean beyond awesome. Check in was a hassle but check out was the most efficient of any place we've ever been. Asked for a taxi to the airport the night before, and it was there waiting for us half an hour ahead of schedule. I have a lot more to tell you but Expedia only allows 1500 characters...

Staff was amazing and the food surprises us, the room was good. It will be better if the toilet was separate. But in general we had an amazing and relaxing vacations. We stay at the coral level and upgraded to a front beach room. They also add a sargassum barrier and it really help us enjoy the beach.

The staff are incredible at this resort. El nino and Lulu make it a fantastic experience and so much fun! The grounds are super well maintained. Coral is SO worth it for the access to the separate areas.
