"I cannot say enough good things about Tifakara. Our stay was magical. From the wildlife off our back balcony (the rare treat of seeing a whole troop of monkeys!), the frog tour was thrilling, the daily included breakfast delicious and a perfect way to start a day of adventures in La Fortuna, to the luxurious accommodations (I’m forever spoiled by the remote controlled bidet toilet). All that would have been more than enough. But by far the best part about Tifakara is the staff. They were warm and accommodating and attended to us without feeling obtrusive. Everyone was beyond friendly and the warmth and genuineness was palpable. We loved every moment of our stay at Tifakara and if we’re ever fortunate enough to return to La Fortuna we would stay nowhere else."

"The staff here were very helpful and kind. Our room was cleaned very well everyday. The volcano view from our room was amazing! The breakfast everyday was delicious and had good variety. The hot springs were very relaxing. The location is not far from the city so it is easy to go out and get food or do activities. There was always parking available for our car."

"Beautiful property, very well maintained. Had a great stay. Comfortable, simple, nature and beautiful birds, well maintained hot springs. Property is small, very easy to walk around and enjoy nature in a peaceful environment. Property is close to the road; but one barely hears much. Better to stay in rooms closer to the end. Had a very nice stay and would, absolutely, return again."

"I stayed at Hotel Secreto for one night as a part of my trip to Costa Rica and it is a great spot! It was beautiful, had delicious breakfast and the staff were excellent! I arrived around 11 with a shuttle from San Jose and they let me start the check in process early and held my backpack for me while I adventured until I was able to receive my key at normal check in time! When I made it back over it was drizzling and one of the kind reception workers actually walked me to my room with an umbrella. The next morning, I was waiting for my shuttle to Monteverde and another one of the reception workers actually called them to ensure my ride was on the way! I left around sunset for a hot spring reservation and got lucky with a gorgeous view of the volcano. And the next morning, I even saw a three toed sloth in the parking lot before getting into my shuttle!!"
