When I arrived with the local bus in Kollam, Kerala, I went straight to the tourist office to ask them if they new some decent accommodation. That they certainly did. They offered me a place by the ocean, where I was the only one except the neighboring locals. I had a small house all to myself. Quite torn down, but who cares with that magnificent view.

The owner brought me breakfast, dinner and of course some Kingfisher beers, as there were no stores around.

An extremely relaxed place to linger after having enjoyed the famous backwater tours here in Kerala.
