"New upgrades led to cheap purchases. Upon arrival, sink immediately filled and clogged to which the maintenance staff already knew due to remodel. Space was clean. Bathroom was real tight."

"My sister and I stayed 2 nights and found the room to be pretty perfect for our needs. If you are looking for resorty, don’t stay here. It was basic, but very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy and the heat/ac worked well. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to do. Our cons would be that the TV was tiny by most lodging standards, and far away, so hard to see and hear. That said, we weren’t really there to watch tv. The shower had great pressure and temp, but the curtain was hung too high, and so the floor became quite wet when anyone showered, This really is a great little spot, and with a little attention to the exterior and livening up the front (I would pull out everything except the Japanese maple and put in low bushes and flowers) this little place could be great. It really has everything going for it, not least of which is its proximity to a most amazing farm to table breakfast/lunch place called Karie’s. Skip the coffee in your room and head across the parking lot for great brew and baked goods. Great outdoor seating included. We will definitely return to both of these spots."

"Nice place to stay—would return! A short drive to Newport, so best for those who are okay with (or prefer) not being right in the middle of everything. The room was clean and comfortable, and there are some cool seating areas outside of the lobby. The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The curb appeal is not great and had us second guessing our booking, but the inside is a completely different story, and I got the impression the exterior is being renovated soon—don't let it scare you off! My only complaint is that the breakfast was subpar for a paid breakfast and the restaurant staff weren't great. The server wasn't very attentive and the staff stood around chatting about their favorite shots and cocktails the whole time we ate. The kitchen staff was playing music loudly that clashed with the music playing through the restaurant speakers. So definitely stay at the hotel but don't do the breakfast package—just go out for breakfast and you'll have a great stay!"

"Unfortunately, the room smelled like mildew and a dehumidifier was running. We had to open the windows to air it out but their were no screens so we couldn't leave them open. There was a large stain on the mattress cover; the shower floor was dirty and the light over the shower kept flashing every few seconds. We were only given 2 pillows, which were very small square shaped pillows. The "lobby" had a very strong, unpleasant smell. We made the best of it but overall, not a great experience. I wouldn't stay here again."
