"The hotel was okay. I would not choose to stay here again. The cultural activities were supposed to be good but we preferred seeing the island. Renting chairs for the beach was inconvenient and they don’t offer half day rentals just a flat $85 fee. The pool was cold, small and drab. The coffee and fridge are located in the bathroom which seemed unsanitary and was inconvenient when traveling with multiple people. Our sink didn’t drain properly and the toilet would make funny noises. The hotel overall felt very dated. Staff were friendly for the most part."
"We came walked onto the property at around 9:30 having been told that we could get our room key from Security, when I called a few hours earlier. Well, there was no Security to be found. So, I called the number provided where there was, of course, no answer followed by "you cannot leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full". We were thinking we'd have to jump the fence to sleep on poolside lounge chairs, covered with our own clothes for blankets. Then, pure serendipity when a frazzled woman comes off of the elevator having been through the exact same thing, just 30 minutes earlier. She said that she started sorting through the Security desk herself, where she found an envelope with her name; we did the same and found ours. Had this woman not come off of the elevator, goodness knows the misery we would have endured, esp after an 15+ hour flight odyssey. 100% UNACCEPTABLE to welcome your guests this way. Otherwise, the room was fine. Average in every way, but not bad. During the day, the staff was friendly, but this check-in gaffe was/is unfathomable! Be careful of this."
"Beach view is mostly obstructed from unit I was placed in. May be better in other units. Check in was far more complicated than it needed to be. My check in person seemed distracted and unprepared."
