"We really wanted a hotel with a restaurant, pool, and the beach kind of sold us. We knew we’d be far from town but figured we’d take the shuttle. We thought the price seemed high but figured it would be luxurious.
Our expectations were only sort of met. First, the staff was amazing. Everyone we met was excellent. The room was adequate but kind of had some broken things. The AC worked but was very loud and blew right on me at night. I was very cold and searched for a blanket but there was none. I was provided one the next day upon request but the first night was cold. There was no housekeeping except for a fee and we were already paying so much I assumed it would be included. I didn’t think the food was great at either Chicken Walk or the restaurant, but the drinks were excellent. We chose the hotel for the beach and it was nice but the water was not very enticing so we really stayed by the pool. The pool area was great but the lounge chairs are the worst ive ever used….the bar under your butt was at a place so you either had to sit on it or slump way down. And finally we stayed here knowing there would be a shuttle into town, which we successfully took once but 2 other times it was too full and only runs once an hour. We eventually gave up on it and used Ubers which were pretty costly given we stayed 6 nights.
Overall, the people were great, the rooms were ok, the food was meh, and the amenities were hit or miss. I might stay again but with my expectations adjusted. "
