"This hotel has lovely rooms with a very nice bathroom including soaker tub and separate shower. There is a gas fireplace. The linens and bed were good quality. You can hear the ocean and have a limited view of it. Breakfast was well stocked. There are interesting g prints of Julia Morgan’s sketches for the Hearst Castle throughout the building. "

"We stayed for three nights. I loved it so much I booked another stay the following month. This is the place to come and disconnect from a busy world. There is no WiFi or cell connectivity. That said, you are able to get access at the office if you plug into their internet. Not having a signal or internet was not an issue for me. The grounds are beautiful, not manicured but a beautiful rustic coast. The restaurant food was fine. It was nothing to brag about but not bash either. I enjoyed my meal there. Cayucos and Cambria are a short drive away. There are many elevated restaurants in town, and cell signal is strong. The drive to town is filled with amazing views and you can stop at the castle, or see the elephant seals. Our room was AMAZING!!! I enjoyed the short drive to town and being able to go back to the resort and nature was nice. Comfortable bed, VERY large walk in close and bathroom with dual sinks and separate tub and shower. We stayed in the cliff house. There is a shared common area, I saw some complaints from others. I feel this is an additional amenity. Almost like renting a house. The only restriction we were told was no cooking. I thought this was fair to be respectful of other guests. There is a nice patio, living and dining room. If that’s not for you, you can simply use the separate outside entrance. The views from our room were wonderful. This is the place to come to disconnect in a beautiful coastal setting with great amenities."

"I had a nice time at the Fireside Inn. I have tried several inns by the beach, and I find this is one of the better ones. It was an enjoyable stay. Clean room, friendly staff. I've stayed twice. The first time, I had a patio with a partial view of the ocean. I liked this room. The second time, we stayed in a room with a terrace overlooking the parking lot, which I don't recommend."
