the sliding insertion for the opening of the room entrance door took at least three tries to make it work and then I was finally able to open the door. The inside heater was missing its dial. The TV and other box was not connected. This facility has been there quite a while and is large and wonderful but there are needs to be handled that Covid and the time of year as well as Highway 1 being closed due to a hill slide may be taking its toll.

This hotel is a gem. Situated across the road from the ocean, it was clean, comfortable and the room was a good size. The property is quiet and with a window open, all you can hear is the ocean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and we had an excellent breakfast in the attached restaurant- which looked like it would be fun in the evening as well. We didn’t have time to look around but could see a lovely outdoor pool area that would be perfect for families with kiddos who love to swim. Definitely would stay here again

Perfectly situated 5mins from the Hearst Castle and just south of Ragged Point. Amazing view from the property, super nice staff. Not a fussy room, but it was very clean and the bed was very soft/comfortable. There is a very WELL STOCKED convenience store on the property that has literally anything you need.

The property was not very well maintained. Would recommend booking the hotel across the road instead. It is better in terms of facilities (fire pits, outdoor chess and checkers, view of the beach and a fantastic restaurant)
