"I have stayed at the Gran Ancira Hotel many times over the past 20+ years and it has always been excellent in every way. This past stay had a few issues. One issue was not the fault of the hotel. The power went out briefly at about 10:30 pm and only some circuits of the hotel came back on. Most of the lights and outlets as well as the air conditioning did not come back on the whole night. When I went to the front desk to ask about the situation, they had very little to tell me. It wasn't until I mentioned to the staff that I have a medical condition that requires me to use a CPAP machine to be able to sleep that they made an effort to try and accommodate my wife and I into a room that had a fully working electrical system. They moved us into a room that had everything except for air conditioning. We made due with the situation and got through the night. I know that the power situation was not the hotel's fault but they should have taken some responsibility and offered a discount or a future offer or something to compensate for the inconvenience."
