"We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire."

"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

"The shared shower was cramped, dark, and you easily bang your head. Not only that you get a bang on the door by management stating checkouts 10am even though I was there 2 nights. Everytime you left the room you're interrogated by management wanting to know your every move. If you want a peaceful stay this isn't it. Needless to say I didn't stay the 2nd night found somewhere else."

"Lovely hotel and great position, helpful staff and very good breakfast. The “cosy sea-view room” was pretty tiny though - very nicely furnished but tiny - even for one adult and one child. It was quite claustrophobic. For the cost I would not book that room category again but will definitely return to the hotel!"

"We had a comfortable and friendly stay at St Peter’s B&B. We were given a ground floor converted stable room which was well furnished, comfortable and clean. The ensuite shower was amazing. Both complimentary continental buffet breakfast and hot cooked breakfast of your choice was available. The location was in the centre of Sandwich, less than 5 minutes walk to the shops. "We had a 1 night stay before catching the eurotunnel. Everything was brilliant, staff at check in as we arrived quite late, clean room, comfy bed and breakfast the next day. We also had our dog with us and they gave us a goody bag for her too!!"
