"We chose the Hyatt in Princeton as a refuge after the nearby hotel that we had booked failed to meet expectations. All in all, a very nice hotel and atmosphere, and the last-minute price was very reasonable. The restaurant was excellent, both for food and service. The front desk staff were not as courteous as we would have expected from a Hyatt Regency property—there wasn't much in the way of "welcome" or "enjoy your stay" or "thank you for choosing Hyatt—but generally fit the stereotype of New Jersey as, well, to-the-point, and nothing more.
We experienced two power outages on consecutive days, unrelated to the passing storm. They were localized to the circuit serving our room, and affected all the lights and power outlets (but not the A/C, thankfully.) The engineering staff responded quickly both times, but losing 10-15 minutes of electricity when you're getting ready, or having the lights go out mid-shower or mid-shave, or waking up to a phone that hasn't charged can really mess up your morning. I hope hotel management is taking note of these occurrences and upgrading circuits where necessary."
