We paid the small amount extra to use the pool, steam room, sauna & jacuzzi, which we concidered good value for money. We also paid extra for the breakfast, which again was good value, with lots of choice. In the bistro you can have a choice of two main meals (excluding the steak, to be fair of which i wasn't bothered...

"I needed a place to stay for one night after an evening event in Scunthorpe. Gary and Sue were welcoming and most accommodating to my need for a late evening return. Good clean room with iron and tea made available. Well worth the money."

"I found the parking ideal right outside property and very safe. The property was spotless couldnt fault a thing. The breakfast was the best we will stop there again when we are in the area."

"It was a dry roof over our heads and warm bed. Bed, towels and bedding were a bit aged. Room was quite small and the bed was not the most comfortable. Shower pressure was quite low. But you get what you pay for and it served its purpose for the night. Plenty of space to park car. "

"The staff were available through email, and allowed me to check in early which was very helpful and kind. I didn't love the layout of my particular room, I didn't know quite what to expect from the photos which aren't reflective of the actual rooms. The bed was in a small room to the side with barely any space around it, and the living room/kitchen was quite narrow. I am a particular person (read picky), so I am guessing the room would have fully pleased someone else! I didn't ask to change...

They tried to make it seem 'economy' .I was annoyed by automatic messages from 'Harry' telling me to text after 2 for a code, when check in started and when I'd arrive by pre-arranged means. "Room is clean however there is no sound proofing so if you got to the age where this is an issue bear in mind you can hear next rooms bathroom fan & any phone conversations or toilet noises or conversations Luckily few in hotel on my stay Nor marking down for the above as out of their control I guess and I’m noise sensitive sadly wish I wasn’t "
