Gaia Hotel & Spa Redding, an Ascend Collection Hotel
The food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent. Be prepared to walk around if you stay here; there are no elevators to the top rooms, but the staff was very accommodating and friendly despite the construction surrounding them.

Comfort Suites Redding - Shasta Lake
This was a very pleasant and comfortable stay for our family. My daughter turned seven, and she had a great time with other kids in the pool. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I wish there were more towels available at the pool, but that would be my only complaint.
