"Hotel scelto a caso in virtù del costo. Non mi aspettavo un servizio così accurato. Stanza ottima e pulita. Personale di una gentilezza squisita e colazione davvero imperdibile . L'unico neo è a causa mia. In tutti gli hotel in cui soggiorno trovo difficoltà nell'utilizzo dell'aria condizionata. Per fortuna non ne abbiamo avuto bisogno ma siamo sicuri che se avessimo chiesto ci avrebbero aiutato. Lontano dal centro di Barcellona ma ben servito dai mezzi pubblici."

"I was there for a very short time so can't really say much. The location is in what I think is an industrial zone and some 25 mins from the city itself. Staff was very friendly when checking in and getting a taxi. If you are going to the airport, you have to consider setting up with time as they come from the city."

"I did not like the location at all. It was two hours drive from Barceloma centre. And they refused to accommodate me to another location close to centre town. Therefore I did not stay in that hotel. Perhaps it was my fault to reserve a room and pay them fully $1431.37. At the same time they could have made some concession and refunded some money. I stayed at other hotels in Barceloma and Madrid. I was a big loss for me."

"Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s. On the positive side, public areas are clean and up-to-date and the staff are pleasant. The amount charged...

"My wife ordered room service. She waited, no food. She walked down to lobby, no phone in room, and the food was waiting there. No one told her that she had to pick it up. Room service I guess doesn’t mean service to your room. It was cold by then. After checking out we discovered that the hotel charged her credit card for the room even though we had paid in advance through Expedia. Sent several messages to the hotel but they will not respond. Is this typical in Spain or is this just a horrible...

"Hele schone kamers, dagelijks wordt het bed vernieuwd en de kamer schoongemaakt. Prima ligging, wij hadden wel een auto gehuurd, voldoende parkeerplaatsen. Gezellig personeel. "

"Rooms were cleaned well everyday unless otherwise stipulated. Staff was helpful; front desk could use a bit more customer service training always helpful but with some unnecessary attitude. Transit connection was great and some university amenities were available to guests like laundry facilities. Might be nice to have a “golf cart” type is access on days when guests are leaving with luggage that use the transit system. It’s a 10-15 min walk… I was very happy overall and will stay there again….."
