"My room had bed bugs. Woke up to a couple four bites on my back. Found a living one on the pillow. Took a video and showed it to front desk. They just moved me to another room. Didn’t compensate me or discount the room charges for the night I slept with bed bugs. I used to work at a hotel and it’s pretty standard procedure to refund a guest that experiences bed bugs at our hotel. Definitely not going back."

"Great hotel! Clean, comfortable and felt at home. HUGE SPACIOUS area for breakfast!! Even though my ac in the room sounded like it had a book with pages ruffling in it all week I didn’t care because the hotel was nice! And also, speaking of breakfast - the gentleman that ran the breakfast area during the week?? ABSOLUTE LEGEND! I’ve never seen someone more attentive and caring - I would stay here again just for his attention to detail and expertise! 10/10"

""A little bit funky" is how I would describe Lancaster Arts Hotel. Definitely different, and all in a good way. My requirements for a stellar hotel always includes: clean, comfortable and quiet, and LAH checked all those boxes. Loved the original art work on the walls. The shrimp bisque, ordered on the recommendation of the bartender, was undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted. All employees were cheerful and helpful. I look forward to staying there in the future."

"We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is a bit aged, but it is maintained well. We stayed in a 2 room sweet, and the main room with the king bed was quiet and large. Unfortunately, the other room was next to people who were constantly arguing and the walls were very thin, so my 14 year old daughter couldn't sleep and she even went to the extent that she slept on the floor in our room until they slept, which was around 1am. "The room was not cleaned (short staffed) but the front desk readily gave us clean towels and an apology. The shower floor was very slippery with a few errant pieces of rough tape place haphazardly in the floor. Front desk suggested we put a towel on the floor for safety. The rate of the room is great and I appreciated that, but the airco vent was right next to the desk which made using the desk uncomfortable with cold air blowing on you. "I didn’t like that it was toooooo pet friendly. The hotel simply wasn’t big enough for other guests not to see any pets or smell anything the hotel was simply outdated and need to be more modernized they wouldn’t have the smell of animals that’s imbedded in the carpet. "What I liked, was that it was close to downtown,...but that was it! What I didn't like was that I was put in a room all the way in the back even though they knew I had a handicap situation.
