It was adequate but, no doubt to keep in style with being the oldest hotel in Great Britain, it wishes to retain an oldie worldie charm so the decor may appear outdated. Our bathroom could do with a revamp as the toilet seat was loose and one of the shower heads was leaking and wouldn't stay in position. "Lovely room, helpful staff and super breakfast. Easy parking too. Only minor gripe was that the window didn't stay open and we had to prop it open with a toilet roll. The was a bit of an issue as the weather was unseasonable warm and there is no AC in the room. However, the staff did say this was already noted and action was being taken. This was our second stay at the hotel and we would certainly visit again."

"What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside. Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean. Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant! The pub has a friendly atmosphere, happy customers and a fab live band played. Do check if there is a live event during...
