"The pub itself is very old and in need of complete redecoration. The stairs, carpets, walls, paintwork leading up to the room was in a very poor state. Carpets need a good clean and decorating needs to be done. However, although the room was very basic and worn, the bed was comfortable, the bed linen clean and well laundered. "Enjoyed an absolutely wonderful 4 nights here. The hosts were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everywhere was clean and tidy, and the room itself was amazing. The hotel is perfectly situated on West Cliff, near to a bus stop and also close to the West Cliff lift should you not feel like walking up from the beach! There's also a handy Nisa local just round the corner, and a pub with good food (The Hop Inn). Highly recommended A++++"

"There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark."

"The hotel is within an easy 10 min walk of Bournemouth pier and restaurants. It is an adult only hotel. Our room was a triple and was very spacious. We stayed in the summer so it was quite warm, as the room was on the top floor- fans were provided. There is a bar onsite with a pool table, in a comfy seating area. The grounds were well maintained and parking was available for £10. Breakfast was delicious and all staff friendly and attentive."

"stayed for 1 week bed & breakfast. Checked in OK. Room size OK, but overlooking car-park with main road 50 metres away. Room furnished with freestanding pine double wardrobe accommodating full-sized ironing board, electric iron and hairdryer. space divided into 2, left side fore and aft clothes hanging rail (6 hangers),right side 3 shelves 2 drawers. The wardrobe double doors warped, difficult to open & close making loud squealing noise! the drawers were off their broken runners and operated...

"Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags. Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast. Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!"
