"St. Jude's Lodge is a comfortable, welcoming, friendly lodge. It is a well-maintained property and the staff and manager are helpful if you have any questions. There is a delicious full buffet English breakfast in a nice dining hall. The location is a ten minute walk from the Galway town square or the main bus depot. We booked day tours from there with the manager's help and the tour bus picked us up right outside in the morning. The rooms and bed were comfortable and clean. This booking worked...

"Room was dark and dated although bed was good. Food was good. Could not access whirlpool area after 6 and needed a reservation? Room definitely overpriced. French atmosphere more than Irish was a disappointment."

"In the heart of Latin Quarter, literal steps to all of the restaurants and bars along Quay. Loved being so close to everything. Room is very small but that’s the point. Affordable, great location (~10 min walk to bus or train stations or ferry). Staff was extremely helpful."

"The rooms were great - effectively like Uni halls rooms, we were given a section of 7 double bed rooms between 10 of us and a self serve kitchen. As it was for the purposes of a Stag do, it worked very well and would highly recommend other stag groups to book the same! It was also situated in a brilliant location - close to the town centre - and was easy to enter and exit the property, even at late night."

"Even though the property is outside of the tourist area, the local bus, line 401, picks up and drops off almost exactly in front of the property. I enjoyed having access to a washing machine and dryer (5€ for a load to wash, 5€ for a load to dry). On my first morning, I had the breakfast at the hostel, however I did not feel like it was worth paying 8€. I’d recommend going to O’Connors bakery, a 5 min walk from the hostel instead. "Room was fine, food at the restaurant was great. The hallways were quite dark on our floor maybe environmental that way? Word of advice is don’t try and leave between say 4 and 6:30pm as traffic is at a standstill then. Found out after that’s just Galway traffic at that time."
