"First trip to Porto. This hotel is right on the main walking road. Excellent location! Be aware that only Taxi can bring you to the door. We took Uber. Dropped us off a short block away with little direction on where to go. Required short hike up a cobblestone block to hotel. If you’ve got bags get a cab"

"Nice hotel with modern amenities about 20 minutes from the historic old town by foot. Close to local bakeries, bars, and restaurants, or a cheap uber/bolt ride to other areas. The hotel’s dark features and dim lighting do create a bit of an eerie vibe at night, so wouldn’t necessarily recommend for families with younger children."

"We loved the location of the PortoBay Teatro. Very close to the Bolhao Market and to a grocery store. Walkable to so many attractions. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel every morning, and really enjoyed the two meals we had at the adjoining Il Basilico restaurant. All the staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming before, and during our stay. We were guests of the hotel for 6 nights and loved the entire stay!"

"The location was not convenient for dining, and shops. Before arriving, I received a text saying if you need overview of the city, let us know. so I asked for it, then, I received a map. That was it. Very disappointed. And the woman at the front was not nice. The room was small, and there is no closet. There was only a short bar to hung my clothes. So not convenient. "

"The view from this hotel was awesome. The staff were always very helpful. We even got a surprise complimentary wine and cake for my husbands birthday. The bed and pillows gave me the most excellent sleep. Would like to know what they are as it’s the best sleep I ever had. I have back issues. Overall an awesome stay"
