"Oh my goodness gracious, first off you are ON AN ISLAND!! Yes, that's right it's an Island Resort Hotel n downtown Gatlinburg. There is a sidewalk that follows the perimeter of the island and allows you access to the river for fishing or sightseeing. Look out for bears, you will see bears. This was the nicest hotel I've stayed at in the area, I just loved it. If you have kids you can stay all day at the resort and order food to your chair as you are pool-side. Definitely coming back again. 11/10"
"We recently stayed at Marshall’s Rest Motel during our “last vacation” of the summer celebration. This was our 3rd time staying here. What i like best about staying here is the cute cozy rooms (which are clean & well maintained), the pool area which offers a view of the river while you swim or relax pool side & the closeness to downtown (only a 4 min walk). Over all this place offers it all. Clean rooms, great service & short walking distance to the strip. I would highly recommend to anyone that...

"Staff was lovely when I requested an early
Checkin. The rooms were worth of a much higher nightly rate compared to other properties. Everything was spotless and in excellent condition. Bed was comfortable and bathroom spacious. We enjoyed the pool all to ourselves on a Sunday evening and then the hot tub which is large and well maintained. Highly recommend this hotel and the excellent staff on site who were so helpful!"
"We wanted to stay somewhere different after visiting the area many times. Wow! We were highly impressed by the location, the view, the hotel itself and its front desk associates. The underground parking was convenient. The only drawback was the $16 a day parking fee not included in the room. Bed was super comfy, room was clean and the balcony gave a spectacular view of the town and mountains. Elevators were quick and easy too. "We had a balcony directly over a river with a view of river and mountain forest. So we felt we were remote and away from the world. However, when you exited the room you were on a Main Street with a free trolley ride to down town. Or you could walk the mile to get to the center of town and the aquarium.
