"Great, nice staff, this is the only strength of this hotel. Dining options are very poor and the prices not worth for the food quality - high prices for a mediocre food. The breakfast quality is mediocre. There are a lot of maintenance issues inside the room: i got several electrical problems (much of recharge sockets are out order) and this well documented by travellers, the rooms are pretty old and not well maintained. Buttom line: this is not 5 stars hotel, other 4 stars hotels much better...

Room was extremely comfortable and the service is exceptional. Note the sea here can be too shallow to swim in at low tide, and we stayed during a neep tide when the water was too low to use the pedaloes, canoes etc. Highly recommend the trip to swim with dolphins arranged by the hotel, note you need to be a strong swimmer though to jump off the boat on cue and swim rapidly to keep up with them - children under 12 probably couldn't manage it. The only thing which marred an otherwise fantastic...

To begin with the journey from the airport to the hotel will take approx 45minutes and will cost 2000 MUR (about £40) in a taxi or 2100 MUR for airport transfer. Location - peaceful south coast which in my opinion has more natural beauty than the other parts of the island. Also whilst it was raining elsewhere in Mauritius the Sofitel seemed to strangely enjoy sunshine consistently. The hotel is not near to other hotels, restaurants or bars, you will need to get a taxi or hire a car, but...

Le Preskill island resort is nestled by a crystal-clear lagoon on the south east coast of Mauritius. What I liked most about the hotel is the stunning sea view, mountain, additional facilities, restaurant, and the overall atmosphere. The hotel's customer service is truly exceptional. The staff ( Alain, Mackline, Shenaz, Deepak, Ravi Sankonah, Ravi Teelwah, Chrisna, Anand, Pravin, Cindy ) were great, very welcoming and helpful. The food was terrific. The restaurant serves Mediterranean, local,...

Beautiful resort on the best stretch of beach in Mauritius - incredible views and sunsets each evening. The staff are all warm and friendly and go to great lengths to make you feel welcome and special. The rooms are well decorated and the beds super comfy. The resort also makes their own amenities so lovely shampoo, shower gel etc! Great food and good value too. I also had a spa treatment which was brilliant, and we loved the little extras like the secret bar and screen on the beach - as well as...

Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Hilton in Mauritius. The hotel's about an hour's walk from the town of Flic en Flac, but there are always plenty of taxis outside the hotel that will take you there. The secluded location makes this a very relaxing place to stay. Our room was large, with the biggest bed ever and spacious marble bathroom. We had a beautiful view from our balcony over the palm trees and manicured lawns to the beach. One note of caution: our duvets and pillows were...

Myself and my new husband spent 10 days at this beautiful little gem, for our honeymoon. I can not rate it highly enough. I had my reservations after reading some of the negative reviews......but am pleased to say that our experience was perfect from beginning to end. We were greeted by the hotel concierge, who was very helpful and supplied us with arrival cocktails and cold hand towels to cool us after our very long journey. I was overwhelmed to the point of tears of joy when we first...
