"Location is very good and walkable to lots of good restaurants. In my case the downtown hotels were very expensive so the guesthouse seemed like a good deal in comparison. As long as you have expectations in check (it's a kitschy if not sort of an odd property) then I think it's a very solid choice. We found it to be clean and the staff tried very hard. My son was a little taken aback by it and didn't love the boarded up / semi burned building next door... That said it seemed like a safe...

"They booked my room in the middle of a group of rooms with school students on a trip. They were running and screaming up and down the hallway. Jumping on their beds, slamming doors, banging furniture u til very late hours. The front desk came up but it didn’t help. Then first thing in the morning they were up again. Terrible management of room assignment. Do better."

"You get what you pay for. The non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray, and I was greeted by a spider on my pillow. I ended up sleeping fully clothed because I wasn’t comfortable in the room. For the small difference in price, I’d recommend spending the extra $30 and staying at a better hotel."

"Dirty parking lot, dirty room, decided to wash our linen because we didnt trust it being clean. Went to on site laundry room and had difficulties with the card reader. The room was dirty. There was a layer of dust on the television, kitchen sink had some red liquid stains that were fresh (not dry), carpet had not been vacuumed properly, one of the two burners on the stove did not work, one of the two lamps was broken and didnt even have a bulb. Hallways smelled of crab boil restaurant and weed...

"Thank you for a great mini vacation. However, a few things could have been done better. 1. The lobby was not very clean; mostly the floors and the bathroom in the lobby. 2. Most hotels end breakfast at 10 am. Breakfast at 9 am was a little early. The rooms were pretty clean, and I love the standing shower. Overall, it was a good experience."
