Boutique Hotel Atelier 800 offers a stay that is more about location and historic charm than comfort or space. The hotel is situated inside a very old building, which from a historical perspective can feel quite charming—especially with one of those classic, vintage elevators that adds character to the experience.
That said, the hotel itself occupies only a portion of the building, located on the second floor of one wing. The “lobby” is essentially a small living room area where everything happens—reception, coffee, and snacks are all set up on a simple console, with no traditional front desk. While this gives it a boutique feel, it may come across as underwhelming if you’re expecting full hotel services.
The rooms are very small, with limited space to move around. Beds are either full or queen-sized, which may feel tight for two people. The bathroom is also quite compact. The shower, in particular, is extremely small and can be difficult to use comfortably.
Another important consideration is noise. Rooms facing the main street have windows or small balconies, but they come with significant street noise, especially at night, which can affect sleep.
Overall, Atelier 800 may appeal to travelers who appreciate historic buildings and are looking for a very simple, centrally located place to stay. However, if comfort, space, and quiet are priorities, this hotel may not meet expectations.
