"In a lovely historic building set within pleasant grounds, especially as the wisteria was in flower. Very helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perhaps a little disappointing- dry basic with little choice of healthy cereal or cooked food if you are vegetarian. Overall very good though."

Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, though there's an expectation that you already know things and the anticipation that you are going to ask things that are wildly off target. "The property had helpful staff, and our room was large and clean,we expected breakfast but were told the earliest we could have breakfast was 9.00am not anything earlier. We wanted to be away by 8.30 .so this wa# not ideal. The whole place needed a good clean especially on the bar."
