"A lovely property in a good location, comfortable, clean if a little dated in some places, breakfasts very good and the restaurant is very good. Great location for train and bus station and the town centre and lovely views over the town, would highly reccomend to anyone. Also very handy parking if you get there soon enough."

"The staff was very welcoming, especially the blonde woman on the front desk. She made our stay very memorable. The hotel itself was aesthetically furbished. Their spa facilities are impressive very modern and very relaxing. Paying for parking was the only issue. Other than that what a wonderful stay. Thank you"

"Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay."

"So i irrived to a bed. Good start. Anne franks attick would be the ritz compared to this. Tv didn't work, heater didn't work, dispite me being advised to plug it in by the lady on reception. This turned out to not be a problem as she worked out how to put the heating on permanently for the next 2 day. Breakfast on the 1st morning wasn’t something id normally spend 7 quid on as it leaked oil from everywhere, i didn't have a 2nd Breakfast as the other guest sitting with his 4 pint cans of Stella...
