"The staff are lovely. My room was clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee and decent biscuits provided. Very close to the town centre and bus and train station. "

"Lovely old hotel, faded elegance. Needs a refresh, weeds growing out of gutters. The lift soon went out of action, not a problem for us but difficult for elderly and infirm residents. Near the ballroom the glass roof had lots of serious cracks and smelt of damp. Loads of space in the car park. These are observations not criticisms. We did enjoy our stay."
