Don’t be fooled by the lovely country house photos, rooms are actually in a separate, square, characterless 1970’s/80’s block. The size and decor of them is reminiscent of basic summer school college accommodation.
Room was cramped, dated, smelly and dirty. Even the ‘executive’ room I was moved to, though better decorated, was still small, had grimy tiles in the bathroom, a very worn and battered desk and no toiletries.
Receptionist at check-in was pleasant and helpful - obviously used to being asked for a nicer room and helped me with no quibbles. On check-out it transpired breakfast wasn’t included as I’d thought. I asked why nobody had mentioned this to me on arrival when I enquired about where breakfast would be - usually hotels offer you breakfast and let you know how much extra it will cost if they know you’re ‘room only’. Was told, rather rudely, that it was up to me to ask! Ended up paying an extortionate £13 for a decidedly average breakfast. Had I known it would cost that much I wouldn’t have had one. Very unimpressed by this place and will not be going back.
In short - avoid!

Had to change rooms 3 times before we got a half decent one but very shabby ! Need a complete overhaul mould on window frames and in the bathrooms .
Amazing surroundings quiet and idyllic. Got what we payed for. We booked a smoking room on arrival was told no smoking rooms on premises didn't bother us to much as surroundings where amazing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful everything was kept nice and pleasing only problems I had was the bed it was very uncomfortable couldn’t sleep till 4:30 am
The day ibstayed was very hot. No air con, windows only open about 1 inch and the extractor on the toilet keep on for about 20 min after switching lights off. After a long conference on yhe hotel i could not get a good night sleep.
No lift, had to haul all my luggage up two flights of stairs, no automatic doors so had to put luggage doe to open all the doors to get to my room. Room was what you’d expect to pay no more than £30 a night for; terribly noisy, hard uncomfortable bed, cobwebs hanging down from light fittings, bedside lamp not working and no soap or handwash in the bathroom!!
Late for work on day of check out because night porter doesn’t know how to print VAT receipt and receptionist didn’t arrive on time. Teach Night porters how to press print. I’m frustrated that the receptionist running late has a knock on affect on my day
Property in need of renovation. Small rooms with poor sound insulation, so you get to hear your neighbours snore.
Don’t bother with breakfast, what you get is made early and left to keep warm in heated servers. Powdered, tasteless scrambled eggs, boiled bacon, hard luke warm sausages and soggy hash browns. Not what you expect for £12.50.
mooie omgeving en dat was het dan, stof in de kamer, in het restaurant moet je wachten met je bestelling op iemand van het personeel die eens langs komt… ontbijt very basic...
The rooms are so small with very small beds. Yhff Ed room wasn’t particularly clean . Told at reception the only way you get breakfast is if you book direct through hotel & it’s cheaper but too be fair we looked when we booked & it was well over £100. Compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in for £70 it’s not great .

I booked this because im suck of premier inns... i wanted something a bit more upmarket for a change. The pictures are very misleading. I thought i was booking into a country house but actually the property has other buildings as part of the park and these buildings provide very badic accommodation. It felt like a mid range B&B. It was clean but very small and the TV was tiny. I would highly recommend that it is made clear that although the country house may be high end there are god awful rooms aswell. If i had known this i would never have booked. Also the matress was very cheap and the bath was onlg big enough for a child. Not happy and will not be staying again
Our room was tiny as we opened the door there was just a bed right there so wasn’t very spacious. It also wasn’t the most comfortable and thought the photos online look nicer than the hotel in person.

Room warm and clean with the usual tea, coffee etc. Staff warm and welcoming.
Disappointing. Felt more like a boarding house or mess. Room was cold and can’t control the heating, the shower pressure was hopeless, towel was stained, tv didn’t work, etc.

Only real issues were too hot in bedroom and cold water was not cold.
The hotel is fine but the advertised postcode doesn’t take you to the hotel. I had to call reception who gave me the correct postcode and said it wasn’t their fault (not sure who else is to blame??)
