"Friendly welcome. Characterful room with good quality tea tray. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not overly clean and the bathroom in particular was tired, run down and felt grubby. Black and dirty sealant around the outside of shower. Broken tiles on floor, broken loo roll holder, grubby and badly marked walls and thick dust/grime on skirting. With a deep clean and a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay."

"The food served from the Hog's Back Hotel was excellent. A fan was provided to help us survive during the heat, and the beds were comfortable. The pool and garden areas were amazing! The things that would help us rate this Hotel "excellent" rather than "good" would be a guest laundry room and air conditioning."
