Top Rye Hotel Reviews

The Burlington Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We have stopped here many times and it remains excellent value for money. Sure, its an old hotel, that gives charactervand charm, the staff are really good, friendly snd hrlpful. The rooms are clean, presentable and good value. The breakfast has everything you could possibly want. Location is excellent, on the sea front, central and has its own parking, charged atba very reasonable rate. Highly recommended, value for money hotel. If you want a mid range accommodation, its ideal"

The Mermaid Inn
10/10 Excellent
"I rated my stay very high at the Mermaid Inn because it was a special detour in the very charming city of Rye. The inn was perfectly located. The food was excellent, from delicious fish and chips on the pub to a 5 star dinner in the dining room. Keep in mind this is a very old building with crooked steps and low ceilings. It may not be suitable for everyone. Our room was adorable and very comfortable. "

Grand Burstin Hotel Folkestone
8/10 Good
"Good location, cheap and cheerful, very dated decor "

River Haven Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent location, lots of space by the River, staff couldn't have been more welcoming and efficient. Looks good for the disabled, breakfast good, bar good, all good...!"

The Lookout Rye
4/10 Poor
"We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The breakfast was excellent, with a great choice of foods, and the service from the staff throughout our stay was genuinely outstanding.
Unfortunately, the bedrooms and en-suite facilities were very dated and in need of a thorough clean and modernisation. We were disappointed on arrival, although the staff did change our room without any trouble. The second room had a slightly larger bed, but the overall standard still fell well below the expectations set by the photos on the website.
The bar and breakfast room have clearly been refurbished and look beautiful, but from the stairs upwards the hotel is in real need of some TLC. The stair carpet is threadbare, and there are visible cracks in the walls, ripped wallpaper, dirty paintwork, and thick dust in several areas.
The staff and breakfast were definite highlights, but the accommodation and general upkeep let the experience down.

Ashford International Hotel & Spa
4/10 Poor
"My son has a duck feather allergy. We asked at front reception if we can use some hypoallergenic hollow Fiber pillows to which their reply why house keeping is gone and we don’t know where they store them. My son ended up getting a full on body rash and couldn’t sleep all night. "

The Spa Hotel
8/10 Good
"A lovely place to stay and very attentive and interested staff. The room was very spacious and comfortable although we found it quite hot and stuffy, particularly at night.
The breakfasts were lovely and service was quick. The spa wasn’t as relaxing as hoped as you had to go back down a corridor if you wanted to visit the steam room, water fountain or sauna but still lovely to do. "
