Pros:
Beautiful view. The grounds are lovingly maintained and lush. The staff are hardworking, attentive, and friendly. The main highlight of this venue is the food, which is truly world class. Amazing breakfast with incredible french toast. If you value fresh and local ingredients, the quality here is hard to top. We would have loved to do the cooking class but did not get the time to. Dinners were great too, albeit not included and relatively expensive for Vietnam.
Great location - 10 minute drive to Sapatown but far enough away to be mostly quiet.
The pool with the view is nice but cool as not heated.
The 3 small dogs that roam the premises are friendly/entertaining if you are a dog person.
Soft bedding and clean + well sized room. Air conditioning in the room worked well.
Cons:
No safe in room, however you can leave valuables at front desk. No mini fridge in room.
There is an itemized list posted in the room of the cost of any item if you break or damage it. While I appreciate the intent of clear communication, it came across a bit hostile and made us hypervigilant to leave no trace.
The room soundproofing wasn't great - if a loud car came by, you heard it, albeit infrequent - same goes for the birds chirping at sunrise.
Most daytime activities were not included and costed significantly more compared to organizing independently - we opted to organize our own trekking.
At 170 CAD a night for the seasonal house + breakfast included, we felt it was moderately overpriced.
