I booked a room specifically with a private hot tub, paying an additional $50 per night for this amenity, only to be checked into a room without one. When I called the front desk, the manager initially told me to wait a few minutes. After an hour had passed, around 10 p.m., she informed me that while we could switch to a room with the hot tub, it wasn’t heating up. I chose to decline the move and requested to check out the following morning. So when we went to shower there was no hot water, we called the front desk again and were informed that there was a switch we had to turn on and wait for the water to heat. They forgot to tell us upon check-in. After a 20 minute wait still no hot water we just took cold showers.
The next day, the manager agreed to let us check out and refunded me for the night I wasn’t able to stay. However, when I asked for compensation to make up for the difference in price between the room we booked and the room we stayed in, I was left waiting for an answer. Unfortunately, we had to leave to avoid missing our booked excursion, and despite following up through both WhatsApp and email, I’ve yet to receive a response after a week.
I wanted to give the hotel an opportunity to make things right, but I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and customer service.
