"Great stay! The Dextro has this floor for Skyline view, so worth it. Easy to get to every place you think of in the Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy. Great breakfast options and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and very comfortable beds."

"The property itself is definitely a bit nostalgic – very much in the style of the 60s beach family vacation vibe, which can feel a little bit dated or charming, depending on your view. It’s a really beautiful spot and there are two pool areas as well as a walking path along the bay. Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. The only downside is that you really do need to get in your car to go exploring, but it’s pretty centrally located with easy drive to Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, and the airport or downtown. But if you’re looking to be in an area where you can walk to shops, cafés, restaurants that’s not what this offers. But very relaxing to sit by the pool and there is a restaurant on site."

"This is an enormous hotel. My room was large, and very clean and comfortable. I loved having the beautiful view of the bay. The shower was great (though the shower door did leak water onto the floor). My room was quiet - although there did seem to be lots of other people on my floor I never heard them from my room. I liked that it was easy to use my Netflix account on the TV in my room. I do wish the bedside light could be adjusted to be less bright. This is an expensive hotel. The most annoying part of staying here was the cheapness - it was annoying to pay a high fee for mediocre WiFi of dubious security. And the hotel restaurants are very pricey, and somehow the desk clerk pushed me into a pricey “Bonvoy” membership which cost about $50 a day and gave me not much in return. When you’re already paying a high room rate, who wants to feel like they’re trying to further gouge you at every turn? Overall this is a lovely place, I would stay here again. But I would resist the extra fees, they didn’t add much."

"Great central location for visiting sites like Sea World and the San Diego Zoo with a short drive to fast food and highway access. We liked the multiple pools, beautiful garden/pond area and walking distance to the beach. The pool bathrooms could have been cleaner and there is a lot of bird poop if you’re staying near the pond, but the room was very clean. Overall, it was an easy and pleasant experience for our family!"

"I had a great time, it was comfortable. Only issue I had was that the room felt super humid and smelled like mold. Other than that it was good."

"Perfect location for petco park which was why we were there . Food choices are limited but there are a lot of restaurants in walking distance . Parking is expensive overnight but most of the parking lots down town are as well. Didn’t use the pool or the gym this time . Room was very nice with good view of the city ."
