We stayed at the Sonesta ES suites for 10 nights while in San Francisco for a medical procedure (kidney donation). The property met akk our needs for our stay and we appreciated the full kitchen and the ability to cook our meals in our room while I was recovering. But don’t expect anything over and above. This is right on the flight path of the San Francisco airport so airplanes fly overhead approximately every five minutes. Staff is noisy and will often be outside your room, shouting into walkie-talkies. The breakfast was decent but same hot options every day. We only received housekeeping two days in our 10 day stay. And the spa was under repair for eight of our 10 days. The airport shuttle is convenient, but doesn’t run super efficiently so make sure to book 4 hours in advance for departures. Also learned on the last day that their shuttle would take people to the hospital, which would’ve been nice if they would’ve told us that when we checked in on night one.
All in all, met our needs but don’t expect any red carpet treatment!
