"This property is very well located, you overlook the ferry port and are near the water. I was a bit surprised to only be given one roll of toilet roll for my stay and the place itself was quite dusty, particularly the bedroom. The sofa also is run down so you don't want to use it and the amenities quite basic. Having said that if you just want to use it as a base and are out most of the time then it's fine. Given the cost of it i had expected more."

"A wonderful, peaceful place to stay in a small village in the hills above Varenna near Castello di Vezio. Proprietor Rita and her staff make you feel very welcome. Had an excellent dinner at the little on-site restaurant run by Rita's daughter. A 20 min walk downhill on a shaded stone path takes you into Varenna; it's a steep walk back uphill or a taxi ride. Some may find this inconvenient but we liked being able to get away from the crowds in Varenna when we were done touring for the day."

"We had a wonderful stay with a room overlooking the lake and a nice balcony. The location can’t be beat and the shuttle service a huge plus. Lots of great restaurants nearby and we had pizza and salads on our last night at one of the hotel restaurants- really enjoyable."

It was ok we did it twice n twice we barely ate the food. Rooms were impeccable and beautiful views from our balcony terrace. Staff very nice and helpful."
