San Simeon State Park

If you have never seen wild seals before, great spot with tons of harbor seals and elephant seals basking in the sun. I found it to be delightful

If you're travelling the California coast around San Luis Obispo stop on the highway and experience this Elephant Seal Sanctuary. The Elephant Seals come ashore and sun themselves. It's a spectacular and natural way to view them.

It's well worth the stop.

It was quite windy, but the kids had fun chasing the birds as I hunted for moonstones.
